Animal Exhibits
The Brevard Zoo offers in Melbourne a wide array of unique exhibits which are home to a plethora of exotic animals.
The Wild Florida exhibit gives you the opportunity to view many of the unique species that can be found throughout Florida. This exhibit allows visitors to get an up-close look at alligators, red foxes, bobcats, bald eagles, and many more.
Expedition Africa offers visitors a more exotic selection of animals that you may not be used to seeing this close. The African rock python, the Marabou stork, and the West African crowned crane are just a small sample of what this exhibit contains.
With other exhibits, including Paws on Play, La Selva, Caribbean Trail, and Lands of Change: Australia and Beyond, the Brevard Zoo has an incredibly diverse collection of wildlife.
Adventure Opportunities
Visitors have the option to enhance their visit at Brevard Zoo with any of the available adventures and packages that are offered.
Giraffe feedings allow visitors to interact directly with one of the world’s most exotic animals. The Cape to Cairo Express offers riders a 10-minute trip through the Zoo’s camel, oryx, and ostrich habitat. Kayaking tours let guests take a guided tour of the Nyami Nyami river or take a self-guided tour in the restored Wetlands in Wild Florida.
Education Opportunities
The Brevard Zoo offers a few incredible opportunities for youth education. With an emphasis on education and hands-on learning, the Zoo offers youth guests the opportunity to take part in field trips, camps, workshops, and outreach programs. This is a great opportunity for children to establish a connection with nature and animals.
